🙏✝️🤍 Inspired by Proverbs 15
Lord, help me to be soft, gentle and thoughtful in the way that I speak to myself and to others. Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted by what’s going on in my body. As a result, I can be short on patience sometimes.
Please give me patience for this cancer journey, for my body’s response, and for my loved ones who are supporting me through this. Help me to remember that they’re going through this, too. Please give me kind words that are pleasing to You, Lord, and that are uplifting and encouraging, both to myself and to those around me.
I pray for your Holy Spirit to remind me of what Your Word says, and to hold fast to Your truth… nothing more and nothing less. Please give me wisdom and discernment in the news I receive from my doctors, the treatment decisions we make, and my response to the great unknown ahead.
Please help me to focus on just today, and to seek You in all things. If You have correction for me, Lord, I want to hear from You so that my heart and mind are in alignment with Yours.
A Prayer to the Lord to Support You Through Cancer
Please bless me with the gift of a glad heart that is focused on seeking You eagerly and passionately. Please help me to practice worship instead of worry. I pray for good counsel and advice from my loved ones; I pray they would have an encouraging word for me just when I need it most.
It says in Proverbs 15:29 that You hear the prayers of the consistently righteous, and those with spiritual integrity and moral courage to do what’s right. I claim that promise today, and I thank You for bending Your ear and Your heart to me as I petition You in all of these things. In verse 30, You speak about good news being "fat on the bones." Lord, I pray for good news to nourish my heart and soul. I love You, Lord, and humbly I lift my voice to worship You, My Creator, today.
In Jesus’ Name, amen.
