Fees are based on a sliding scale that looks at your net income (take home pay after taxes), the number of dependents in the house as well as whether you are a single-income or dual-income household. My rates are affordable for most income levels. Sorry, I do not accept insurance.
Since I am employed at Institute of Advanced Studies, a non-profit organization, I am able to offer sliding scale counseling services. We accept all major credit cards as well as debit cards.
If you have out-of-network mental health coverage through your medical insurance provider, I can provide you with a monthly super bill so that you can file a manual claim for reimbursement based on what your plan allows.
How it works: Have your total take home pay available, and then look at the sliding scale on this page. The left columns are for "monthly net income", and the columns on the right are for single/dual income and the number of dependents in your household. This will be your per session fee for a 50-minute session. Sessions are generally held once per week. When clients are steadily doing better, we can move sessions to every other week, then every third week, then once a month, etc. to transition out of therapy.
Example client: A married mom of 2 young children is looking for individual counseling for herself. Her spouse works, and she is currently receiving disability from the state. Their total monthly net take home is $3900. They would be considered a dual income family with 2 dependents, so she matches up her $3900 take home pay on the left with the column for "Dual Income 0-2". Her per session fee would be $115.
